Route de Sauverny 74College du Leman is an internationally renowned school, located 9 kilometres from the centre of Geneva and its international airport.
It provides residential accommodation in the main for students in the Middle and High School. Boys and girls are housed separately according to their age in one of the several boarding houses on campus.
Co-educational French and English courses are offered in a summer programme for students between the ages of eight and eighteen. After a placement test, students follow a personalised programme designed not only to meet their ability but to challenge their motivation. Lessons are held from Monday to Saturday, 9:00am to 12:15pm. The programme includes tuition in the Multi-Media centre during which students have an opportunity to master techniques using state-of-the art technology such as CD-ROM, computers, video.
Highly qualified teachers instruct in their mother-tongue. On completion of the course, students will receive a language certificate.
During the school year, College du Leman offers four programmes: the Swiss, French, British and US curricula, with modern and well equipped facilities. Over the summer months, students equally have the possibility to earn credits or to follow new courses in subject areas such as Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology or English Literature. College du Leman, being accredited by both NEASC (New England Association of Schools and Colleges) and CIS (Council of International Schools), allows credits to be transferred from one institution to anoth-er and to become part of the official school report.
In the afternoon, students are assigned groups of around ten, according to their age, to take part in organized activities. A variety of sports with qualified instructors are arranged such as tennis, basketball, aerobics, football, volleyball, swimming, cycling, baseball, archery. Security is paramount and supervision of all activities is guaranteed. To complement the programme, students can participate in art related activities such as drawing, painting and pottery in one of the newly equipped art rooms and photo-lab.
After a full day, students can participate in a variety of activities organized by our imaginative staff. Thematic evenings such as beach party, barbecue by the poolside, disco, talent show, fashion show and concert are organized. Without a doubt the activities provide fun and lasting memories for all students.
Switzerland has its own treasures and it is for this reason that each week, a trip is organized to discover our beautiful country. Places of interest, such as Interlaken, Lucerne or even Zermatt to see the Matterhorn, are visited as well as the Olympic Museum in Lausanne, the Omega Museum in Bienne and a famous chocolate factory. Transport is provided by the school’s own fleet of comfortable buses and experienced drivers.
