Closure (closing) is less painful than conventional striping as well as "endovenous laser therapy. The disadvantage of Closure hitherto been too time-consuming.
Since early 2007, we could offer - for a long time only for Switzerland - ClosureFast (fast closing). This further developed method combines an almost painless treatment Closure with the speed of laser therapy. According to large clinical trials in the summer and autumn of 2006 under the leadership of Thomasa Proebstle, while on faculty at the University of Heidelberg flebohirurgii, four-fifths of the 100 patients, who underwent therapy, had no complaints at all. This means a significant improvement compared with all other hitherto existed methods. Dr. Proebstle, who meanwhile occupies a prominent position in the department of dermatology at Pecs in Hungary, from the beginning accompanied by the application of technique ClosureFast (quick closing) in the clinic Hirslanden.
The treatment process according to the method ClosureFast
Staying at the doctor takes one to two hours. Extended Vienna (in most cases the great saphenous Vienna) is punctured under ultrasound guidance. In place of a puncture in a vein to the groin, pushed by a special catheter is also under ultrasound guidance. Immediately before the procedure, tissue in the veins anaesthetises using highly dilute local anesthesia. Then at the end of the catheter patient subcutaneous Vienna is heated by radio waves to 7 cm in length.
This process takes about 20 seconds, after which the catheter is removed from this section and a new cycle begins. Therapy leads to permanent damage - a narrowing of the vein. For several months she completely disappears due to the restructuring of tissues. After a week or two should be treated more possible visible varices by sclerotherapy branch (obliteration) or phlebectomy.
